Haydn's Mission Statement

Haydn Tudor Jones (he/him) is a Performer, Director, Producer and  Facilitator based in North Wales, North West England and London.

In 2023, Haydn Tudor Jones directed Burglars by David Rankin on behalf of Phoenix Theatre Company, which won the youth originality award at the Leverhulme Festival in Port Sunlight.

Under Haydn’s direction, he aims to deconstruct theatre through the integration of historical context, contempaory political themes and the post-dramatic.  

Through the intensive understanding of nuance, he plans to “activate a new age of theatre where we see through the looking glass”.

Haydn is a versatile performer. Who is currently training at Rose Bruford College, studying European Theatre Arts. He has gained experience performing in various styles and on different scales.

In 2023, Haydn Tudor Jones studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, Bratislava, where he worked on the Lee Strasberg method with performer/practitioner Marta Matova. In 2024 he returned to Bratislava to movement cordinate and dramturg Prichod Godota's show Becka. 

With in-depth knowledge of theatre, Haydn s has facilitated theatre to various ages from as young as 3 to as old as 80.Most recently working with Camp Echo Lake in the creation of a Drama workshop program.

Haydn Tudor Jones opens the ensemble to absolutely everyone. Training should be available to anyone, regardless of age or ability.

From personal experience, Haydn understands that walking into a new space can be daunting. Therefore, breaking the ice is very important. Haydn uses techniques to build confidence and to make performers feel confident and appreciate the work they create!

Haydn firmly believes theatre is and should be fun. Theatre training does not have to be so severe. Through his training, he brings theatre into a safe environment through the use of play and traditional practices.
